Performing Arts

The Englewood Arts District is the home to the Puppetry Arts Institute which includes the Hazelle Rollins Puppet Museum which owned a nationally recognized and world’s largest puppet factory from 1935-1975. The institute includes the remaining inventory of the factory and uses these parts in puppet painting and marionette construction workshops.

Plans are also underway to develop other performing arts and provide venues for public performances. The Englewood Arts Center now has a stage for musicians and other performing artists to use (see photos below)! Currently, we are operating our performing space under limited use until we are closer to our full opening date.

Among the neighborhood, residents are the mother/son performing group Madisen Ward and Mamma Bear.
