Learn the basics of wheel throwing in this beginner friendly course.
This 6 week class is the perfect introduction for aspiring clay artists. With the help of our professional potters and ceramicist, you will learn how to throw on the wheel and make your own masterpieces!

The Natural Landscape: Constructing a Landscape through Clay and Painting
Through a combination of clay sculpting techniques and painted landscapes, work with Our Resident Artists Hannah Finnan and Elise Fippinger to create beautifully unique and dimensional landscapes. Working from a photo reference we will learn how to pinch out a slab, manipulate and sculpt the surface through carving, addition of material, and the use of found objects such as rocks, sand, leaves, and flowers.
Learn different painting techniques such as staining and color-mixing, to create a wonderful mixed-media masterpiece.

Englewood Arts with Alan Voss now offers private music lessons for Guitar (acoustic and electric), Bass Guitar, Piano (Beginning to Intermediate), Drums, and Music Theory.
Whether you are just beginning, Intermediate, or Advanced, we offer a fun and welcoming learning environment for all ages.
Fiber:
Paper Marbling: April 10th @ 5:30pm
In this class, you will be working with experienced printmaker: Angela Brown and introduced to the paper marbling technique using acrylic and water.
You will learn how to create unique, colorful designs perfect for decorating a scrapbook, creating your own greeting card, or making your own book covers. You will be guided through various techniques to create marbled designs and explore ways to continue practicing this art form at home.
This class is great in combination with our Nature/Travel Journals (Book Binding) happening April 12th @ 10 am.

Nature/ Travel Journals (Book Binding): April 12th @ 10am and May 17 @ 10am
Just in time for spring, come create a journal for you to record nature, travel or ideas in. You will be exploring surface design techniques as we paint a cloth, as well as stitching your pages together to build a soft cover book you can roll up and take with you anywhere. All supplies provided.
Suitable for 16 y/o and up.
Crochet Class: April 26th @ 1pm
Learn the basics of crochet in this small group class! Taught by our experienced instructor, Angela Brown, you will dive into your first or beginner project of a potholder. Sign up today to begin your journey of learning a new craft and hobby.

Lino-Cut Workshop:
April 12th & 13th @ 1pm
Discover the art of linoleum printing in this beginner-friendly, two-day workshop designed to spark your creativity using simple tools that can be used at home. You will learn from local artist, GK Callahan, the basics of lino printing. You’ll explore tools and materials, transfer your design onto a linoleum block, carve your linoleum block, and begin printing. You’ll leave with your own set of handmade prints and the confidence to continue this accessible art form at home! All materials provided.
*Please bring a printed image on white printer paper sized two 5 x 7. We encourage folks to bring an image of nature, conservation, or the environment.
Glassblowing:
Make-Your-Own Glass
Make-Your-Own is our classic entry-level glass blowing experience!
This is a single-session hands-on experience where our glassblowers will work with you one-on-one to help you learn more about the tools and equipment used to make your own glass object.
Expanded Glass Lab Experience
Expanded Glass Lab Experience - with Phillip “Swede” Hickok
In this 2-hour hands on experience, you will spend time making several glass objects with the help of Resident Artist “Swede”. This class is the same format as the Make -Your-Own experience but gives you a chance to explore the material a bit more and allows you to have more flexibility on the objects made.
On average 3-4 pieces are made during the class. This class is a perfect continuation of the Make-Your-Own class but no experience is necessary.
2 hour duration.
Glass Blowing 101
Immerse yourself in the captivating world of glass blowing with Glass Blowing 101, a comprehensive 4-6 day (2-3 weekend) class designed to ignite your creativity and unleash your inner artist. Throughout this course, participants will dive deep into the fundamentals of glass manipulation, mastering the materials, tools, and techniques necessary to transform molten glass into finished pieces. Whether you're a beginner eager to explore a new artistic medium or someone seeking a refresher course, this experience is tailored to accommodate all skill levels. Join us and discover the thrill of creating your own one-of-a-kind glass masterpiece, with no prior experience required.
