Located in western Independence, Missouri, the Englewood Arts Center sits in a remodeled medical building in the Englewood Arts District. Founded by a grassroots community initiative, Englewood Arts has something to offer everyone!

Visit the ArtShop, located at the front entrance of the Arts Center! Shop from a variety of local artists in one convenient location. Here you can find a mix of hand-made glassware, jewelry, and art!

Join us for the Third Friday Art Walks, a monthly event throughout the Englewood Arts District! Visit us at the Art Center for special programs, gallery receptions, glassblowing demos, and so much more! Check out our Facebook and Instagram for details on the Third Friday Art Walk.

  • Street parking is FREE in the Englewood Arts District. Park where it is convenient for you.

    Handicap accessible parking is located near our front entrance.

  • Not exactly! Englewood Arts Center has free admissions into the building during our regular gallery hours.

    Areas in our building may become restricted due to private events, classes, and workshops. Some events and performances require the purchase of tickets to enter.

Current Exhibitions

  • Where Have All the Pheasants Gone?

    Englewood Arts presents an upcoming body of work by Missouri artist, GK Callahan, an immersive exhibition exploring climate shift, farming practices, and their impact on Midwest culture.

  • Ingress

    This exhibition marks Katie Swan’s return to creating work after time away becoming a mother and serving as an introduction to the Kansas City art community. She’s created a body of ceramic objects referential to bones, spines, and circles.
